Although we do see some character development and growth for both men, we learn virtually nothing about their backgrounds besides Payne’s marriage and horrible cheating ex, or Beau’s 20-year crush on his best friend’s brother. Their story was fun and heartwarming to read, and I blew through this book so quickly! My only issue is that I would have liked to learn more about both characters, where they’re coming from, where they’ve been, and their motivations. I loved getting to know Payne and Beau-they’re both such interesting, quirky, and authentic characters. Must ignore the patheticness of a 40-year-old roommate. ![]() ![]()
